iSCSI

Internet SCSI (iSCSI), is an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard (RFC 3720) which describes the transport of the SCSI (Small Computer Systems Interface) command set over a TCP/IP network. iSCSI has quickly become a heavily adopted Storage Area Network (SAN) protocol which provides the illusion of locally attached disks to data center servers.
