Alphabet soup, it's good for lunch time fodder, but it's not going to pay the bills. Jerome takes some time to talk about all the three-letter-acronyms that make the industry buzz like a beehive - just try not to get stung!
We'd have to reference every vendor in the industry if we wanted to provide suggested products, but instead let's just suggest www.snia-dmf.org and www.snia.org TWGs for more on acronyms like ILMI, DPI, SMI-S and my favorite LTACSI!*
TWG = Technical Working Group
ILMI = Information Lifecycle Management Initiative
SMI-S = Storage Management Initiative
LTACSI = Long Term Archive and Compliance Initiative
